succession
difference of Primary succession and secondary succession
Primary succession is when after a major event happens such as volcano eruption or a glacier comes through and destroys everything. It's when plants and life everything starts from the beginning. Starts with rocks, not soil, and builds up by levels. Step by step until its a full biome. Secondary succession it happens when the soil has been destroyed and is being built back together again. It starts with soil unlike primary succession and builds its self up again.
Primary succession
The chart above shows you have primary succession begins. This could happen for reasons such as following a volcano eruption, glacier receding through the land, It begins with rocks, not soil this is a new area for plants to grow. So then the lichens come in such as fungi, and other such plants. Then after that later small plants start to grow. Then the trees and shrubs grow and plants that cant handle the shade grow. Then finally oak trees and hickory trees can grow. Big trees that can stay there and develop, and they grow at the climax of the community.
Secondary succession
With secondary succession it follows similar steps as primary succession.
